Comedy Night Returns to The Welf, Resolven!
📅 Sat 29th Nov | ⏰ KO 8pm | 🍻 Doors & bar open early
After far too long, live comedy is back at The Welf — and it’s returning with a bang!
Headlining the night is Sean Percival – a true powerhouse of British comedy. As sharp as he is down-to-earth, Sean’s delivery is dry as a pint of mild and his punchlines hit like a sledgehammer. This Black Country comic has stormed every major comedy club in the UK and beyond, spinning tales of working-class life, marriage, and modern madness with the bite of a man who’s seen it all. One critic called him “a working man’s revenge on the safe, middle-class, politically correct humour that has dominated comedy” — but really, he’s just bloody funny.
In support is Mike Reed – British Comedian of the Year semi-finalist (2021). A regular on the Welsh circuit, Mike’s performed everywhere from the Edinburgh Fringe and London’s Piccadilly Comedy Club to four brave souls in Ebbw Vale. Smart, sharp, and brilliantly unpredictable.
Holding it all together is your compere and Neath’s own Paul James – “The Mayor of Neath” himself. No-nonsense, full-throttle and lightning quick with the crowd, Paul guarantees the laughs keep coming all night long.
🍺 The Welf – great beer, great atmosphere, and comedy that’s properly back where it belongs.
