Resolven Miners Welfare was buzzing with energy and community pride as a group of dedicated volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work during a recent clean-up event aimed at preparing the building to welcome residents once again.
Armed with mops, buckets, brushes, and a lot of elbow grease, the volunteers tackled everything from deep-cleaning rooms and scrubbing toilets to vacuuming, organising supplies, and giving the space a fresh and welcoming feel. Each smile and sponge stroke reflected a shared love for the Welfare Hall and the vital role it plays in the community.
“The turnout was amazing,” said one of the trustees. “People of all ages came together, donating their time and effort to help restore a building that means so much to the community. We’re overwhelmed with gratitude.”
The trustees of Resolven Miners Welfare expressed their heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed. “This place has always been about people. Seeing it filled with helping hands reminds us of the strength and warmth of our community.”
The clean-up not only restored the building’s sparkle but also reignited a sense of ownership and pride among residents. With freshly polished floors and cleaned spaces, the Resolven Miners Welfare is ready to reopen its doors for social events, meetings, and local group activities.
Thanks to this collective effort, the Welfare Hall stands as a renewed beacon for the village—a place of gathering, connection, and community spirit.
